The calendar, as a feed
Put the Twin Cities calendar on your own screen. Free, by subscription, with your name on the source.
What it is
Every slice of the calendar is a subscribable iCalendar feed. Paste a URL into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or anything else that reads .ics, and the events keep arriving — no key, no account, no sign-up for you to manage. A front desk can keep this weekend on a screen; a newsroom can pull one neighborhood into its own tooling.
The feeds
The URL is citypulsemn.com/feeds/ plus a slug. Seven categories (music, sports, family, arts, food, festival, unique), eight collections like free-this-week and date-night, forty-seven venues as venue-first-avenue and the like, sixteen neighborhoods, and this-weekend. Seventy-nine in all.
The subscribe link sits on the page for each slice — venues, neighborhoods, collections and this weekend. Some rooms are quiet in a given month, and their feed is correspondingly empty.
What arrives, and what doesn’t
What arrives: title, start and end, venue and address, a link back, and a short description. What does not: ticket prices, ticket links, images, coordinates, category tags. The window is a rolling thirty days, so this is a what's-on feed and not a season planner — and this-weekend carries at most three days. Descriptions are clipped to about 180 characters. Long-running exhibitions show up as one multi-month block, because that is honestly what they are. Updates take up to a couple of hours to propagate, and a cancelled event simply stops appearing — there is no cancellation notice, so do not wire this to anything that announces changes on its own.
How good is the data?
The listings are researched by machine, checked against sources on a rotation, and corrected when an error surfaces — including twice in 2026 when listings reached the site for events that were not real, one caught by a reader and one by our own sweep. Not every listing has been verified, and the feed carries no field telling you which ones have. If you are republishing to the public, treat it the way you would any wire you do not control: good enough to show, not good enough to swear to.

Using it
Use it, free. Credit City Pulse MN visibly where the events appear and link back to citypulsemn.com. The event details themselves belong to the organisers and venues, not to us, so we cannot hand you rights over their words or images. What we ask in return is the obvious thing: don't republish the whole calendar as your own, and don't strip the attribution.
There is no charge today and nothing to sign. If this ever becomes something we charge for, anyone already using it hears from us first, and nothing switches off without warning.
What we don’t promise
Said plainly: this is one person's project, there is no uptime guarantee, no support contract, and no promise that a slug will exist forever. Treat the feed as a convenience you can lose, not a dependency you can't.
Ask for a slice, or opt out
Want a slice that isn't listed — a suburb, a category, a room — or want your venue's events out of the feed entirely? Say so and we'll sort it. No turnaround promise, but a person reads every one. hello@citypulsemn.com
